This evening at approximately 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, WCSART received a 911 call from a lost hiker. The hiker was from Texas and could not describe the trail he was on or where he had parked his vehicle. We were able to make cellular contact with him and gain a coordinate using google maps (the individual had deleted his compass app and did not have enough service to re-download it). A team member was then able to provide a heading remotely to get the very happy Texan back to his vehicle.
