At approximately 2:15 pm this afternoon, WCSART responded to a female hiker on Rock Bridge Trail with a non-ambulatory injury to her right leg. Team members accessed and packaged the patient before evacuating her back to the trailhead. During the carryout, multiple low-angle belays were necessary. A special thanks to Red STAR Wilderness EMS for lending a mutual aid hand today and Breathitt-Wolfe EMS INC. for transporting the hiker to definitive care.
