Hiker rescued on Sky Bridge Trail

On April 18 around noon as the team conducted a training exercise, WCSART received a 911 call for a hiker suffering from a lower leg injury on Sky Bridge Trail. Team members quickly packed up from our training location and deployed to the Sky Bridge Parking area.

The patient was located less than a quarter mile from the trailhead. A team member EMT assessed the patient, splinted her injured extremity and packaged her in a stokes basket for a carryout back to the trailhead. The hiker was then transported by a family member to Clark Regional Hospital for definitive care. We wish her a speedy recovery.
